Typical trip around The Grenadines

The Grenadines you can visit roundtrip from Grenada, St.Vincent, or Martinique. Here is a list of our favorite spots where we are heading if we are sailing 2 week trip. Wherever you start, you can visit all of these places, the only difference will be the Islands' itinerary order.

If we are starting from Grenada, we shall meet at Port Louis Marina in the capital city of St.Georges. If we are starting from Martinique we can meet in LeMarin Marina. Both these places are easy to reach by taxi from the airport.

History lovers will enjoy a visit to the fort of St George’s on Grenada built in 1705. Enjoy shopping in the narrow streets, discover a chocolate factory and a few batik workshops.

If you have the time it is worth taking a tour of Grenada, going to swim in the fresh waterfalls in the mountains, or visit a rum distillery.

Molinière sculpture underwater park is one of the most popular dive sites for diving and snorkeling. Discover a gallery of life-size underwater sculptures. It is a unique experience. Thank you for the photo, LaDonna

Tyrrel Bay, Carriacou is home to the traditional Caribbean boats. A wonderful walk along the beach and a good place to stock on fresh fruits and veggies. Many waterfront bars and cafés offer entertaining night life.

Swim at Sandy Island while you watch the pelicans performing aerobatics around your boat. The option is to walk from opposite Paradise Beach into a typical Caribbean village. Pick up fresh pineapples, papaya, mangoes, and wonderful homemade bread from the outdoor market.

Wallilabou was the main location for the movie Pirates of the Caribbean. Here you can still see the authentic decors and costumes from these motion pictures. This place we usually visit on the way from Martinique. The refreshing waterfall can be found within a walking distance.

Mayreau, Salt Whistle Bay is our favorite anchorage where you can swim safely from the boat to the beach. Enjoy a romantic barefoot walk under tall coconut trees and the local beach bars.

They are many monkeys on Mayreau.

Tobago Cays, since the area is a national park, the wealth of sea life is extraordinary. It is the home of many peaceful turtles and it’s an incredible experience to get close and swim with these remarkable sea creatures.

The Pitons (on the way from Martinique), are two majestic volcanic mountains of exceptional beauty. Here you are invited to hike and swim in natural hot springs.

Bequia is full of old traditions, skilled fishermen, and boatbuilders. On the waterfront market, you can meet local artists and fresh fruit vendors. We can arrange a visit to the turtle farm or a scuba diving trip to a nearby wreck.

Canouan Island is known for its 18 holes golf course. One of the best in the South Caribbean.

Union Island, Clifton harbor is a port of call with a friendly Caribbean atmosphere. Excellent restaurants and pubs. It is also the ideal place to get a kiteboarding lesson.

Petit St.Vincent offers a quiet anchorage along a beach resort under palm trees.

Mopion, the atoll right in the middle of "the ocean" is made of white sand. Topped with one coconut umbrella shelter for shade.

On Baliceaux you can meet hundreds of land turtles grazing in the sun. The view from the top of the hill is amazing. There are no people, no restaurants, nature only.

Chatham bay is located on the west side of Union Island. Surrounded by tall hills it offers a very protected anchorage. Paddleboard among the lazy pelicans, enjoy a long walk on the magnificent beach, or go snorkeling.

Le Marin on Martinique is a small town with the biggest harbor for cruising yachts. One of the best places to start or end our trip. Easy access to the international airport. Good restaurants and shops for the last minute souvenir.
